The TOPCOR SAFETY MAXIMIZERTM is an all encompassing safety program which individualizes each job/project into a series of steps which will strive to Identify, Eliminate or Mitigate any foreseen hazards and will be administered by TOPCOR's Safety Department. The program will require active participation by all levels of TOPCOR and sub-contract personnel to ensure awareness of the job-scope, known hazards and mitigation steps by all levels of personnel involved in the project.

  1. Job is awarded.
  2. Safety Department is notified.
  3. Meeting scheduled with Project Manager/Estimator, Field Superintendent and Safety to review job scope and special safety considerations to be addressed.
  4. Comprehensive Job Safety Plan completed by the Safety Department.
  5. Meeting scheduled with TOPCOR Safety Department and client Construction and Safety Personnel to review the job scope, safety concerns and mitigation steps for the job.
  6. Pre-job, kick-off meeting will be held with all TOPCOR and sub-contractor employees where the Job Safety Plan will be discussed and each employee will sign stating they have been briefed on the Safety Plan. New employees/sub-contractors coming to the job after the initial kick-off meeting will be briefed on the Job Safety Plan by the Project Superintendent prior to commencement of work.
  7. Weekly safety meetings will be conducted by TOPCOR Project Superintendent. Participation in the safety meeting is required by all TOPCOR employees and sub-contractor employees. A safety meeting sign-in sheet will be signed by all employees attending.
  8. Project Superintendent will perform a minimum of one TOPCOR Safety Audit per week. The Safety Audit will include any TOPCOR sub-contractor workers on site.
  9. The TOPCOR Safety Department will make jobsite visits a minimum of every two weeks and will perform a TOPCOR Safety Audit during that time. The Safety Audit will include any TOPCOR sub-contractor workers on site.
  10. A Job Safety Analysis (JSA) will be completed daily by TOPCOR and any sub-contractors. Each employee on the job-site for that day must sign the JSA stating they attended the daily JSA meeting where the JSA for the day was discussed.
  11. Audits and safety meeting rosters will be submitted to TOPCOR Safety Department weekly for review.
  12. Safety meeting topics/rosters, audits and JSAs will be made available to the client upon request for their review.
  13. Any change in job scope or unforeseen safety hazard that presents during the progression of the job, which is not noted in the Job Safety Plan, will be immediately reported to the Project Manager and Safety Department for assessment and inclusion in the Job Safety Plan. The changes will be relayed to all TOPCOR and sub-contractor employees on site before the change-of-scope work begins.
  14. A Project Safety Review will be conducted upon completion of the project by TOPCOR's Safety Department in conjunction with the Project Manager and Project Superintendent.
  15. Any concerns noted in the review will be addressed with all parties as needed for inclusion and consideration in future related projects.
